Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

The university has an excellent reputation and it definitely lives up to it. When I came to the interview, I was made to feel as if I already belonged here. All of the staff were so friendly and were happy to help.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

Everything in Newcastle is so close and less than a stones throw away. I love going down onto the quayside and going to shop at the metro centre.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

The transport links are excellent around here and very reliable.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

The staff are excellent at welcoming new students into the university. The university seems to attract friendly, outgoing and motivated students which makes settling in very easy.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

The girls I have moved in with have helped the transition of moving in by miles. When you move up everyone is in the same boat so everyone is keen to make new friends and see the city.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

It is inspiring being taught by lecturers who have had years of experience in the field you are studying, it's impressive hearing about where they started, where they have been and where they are now.

What is the best thing about your course?

Everyone in the course has similar interests, yet varying thoughts and opinions and it's interesting seeing ideas portrayed from someone with an opposing view.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Definitely come up to Newcastle to visit and see the surroundings and meet the tutors.

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes
