Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

I chose Northumbria University because it is the nearest University that has a Design Department, as I didn't want to move away, and it was the first and only University I really wanted to go after I researched into a few Design Degree's, and found one that looked amazing with many job opportunities.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

I love Newcastle, especially it being my home town. My favourite things to do in Newcastle are visiting the cinema, going on nights out with friends, shopping.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

I've lived here all my life, but what has impressed me most so far is the Quayside, it is a beautiful place, one of my favourite places to go in Newcastle, as well as Civic Centre, however that is a place I just like to chill.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

I did find it welcoming, it was pretty easy to fit in as everyone seemed on my level, just as new and a little lost and friendly, willing to learn.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

I have enjoyed making new friends, I have enjoyed some of the challenges and knowledge thrown at myself.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

Tutors have been very helpful.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

My tutors, especially some that had been various places in life and showing us what they've created, and giving us the inspiration that one day we may be there.

What is the best thing about your course?

Learning new things, and then achieving targets.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

3D Modelling in Maya. It is so hard, but very valuable to learn as it is one of the hardest 3D Softwares to learn.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Definitely apply for Northumbria!

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I feel more confident about myself academically, that I can get wherever I want if I put the mind and effort into it.
