Applied-Sport-and-Exercise-Sciences_Student_Jordan-MeanwellWhy did you choose to attend Northumbria University / come to Newcastle?

I came up on a visit and really enjoyed how close the campus was to town. Northumbria wasn’t my first choice university but in no way have I looked back and regretted coming since being here.

What were the highlights of your course?

Nike project, Placement at Hull Collegiate, Placement at St Bedes, The New Lab Facilities.

How well did you get on with your tutors?

I have a healthy relationship with my tutors. I’m an independent student and don’t require constant communication from my tutors however with special mention to Liz Patrington and Nick Caplan They have always treated me with respect, consideration and have also offered fantastic support.

Did you undertake a placement?

2010/2011 – Hull Collegiate School – PE TEACHER

2011/2012 – St Bedes Primary School – Teachers Assistant

Yes, I have looked into post operation knee braces in an attempt to help practitioners understand more about the diagnosis and duration in which knee braces should be applied.

What extra-curricular activities did you undertake?

I played semi-professional football for Walker Central F.C.  I then moved to a local pub team with a good group of friends which play Saturday. I worked my way up from a flyer boy to being given the responsibility of running my own night at Tup Tup palace. I then worked for a year and a half at Hollister.Co. On the side I have performed in Low key Modelling jobs as well as catwalk shows.

Did you carry out any part-time work whilst studying?

Hollister.CO Model and Promotions and Event management of Tup Tup Palace.

What are your immediate plans upon graduating?

Something I haven’t quite figured out myself. Whilst I am well-travelled I haven’t yet seen South America and would love to travel for a few months. My current ambition is to move to America (California) from travelling and work on product innovation.

What do you see yourself doing in 5 – 10 years time?

I see myself being abroad working in a top industry climbing the ladder of promotion. I aimed by this point to have an established reputation and a secured job which I love doing.
