Where are you from?

Poole

Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

The course looked great and the city even better - best student life in the UK by miles with a faculty that is a cut above the rest.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

Easily the best city in the UK, probably the best in Europe and pushing into the world top three, with the best nightlife possible and my favourite things to do including going out with friends in the city on top of rugby and music.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

The opportunities to work are way better than what I thought and the nightlife has definitely exceeded my expectations, especially with the student life being so good to begin with!

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

The University were very welcoming and I have fit into it and the way of life very well.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

The lifestyle of a Northumbria student seems to be different to others, my timetable seems more fair and the University seem to look out for their students a lot more.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

My faculty student support had helped me out a lot along with my tutors and others on my course.

Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?

Other people on my course who I work with daily and socialise with outside of lectures.

What is your favourite place on campus?

The SU is great but being able to go to the basement in the library allows you to work on assignments whilst having a laugh with your friends so that's my favourite place on campus.

What is the best thing about your course?

The people on it; in lectures you can have such a laugh whilst working.

What do you want to do in the future?  What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I want to work with cars, designing engines or on aerodynamics - with the course showing me what I need for this on top of extra skills to thrive in the industry.

Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences?

I started the degree sponsored by the RAF so didn't do many placements but the opportunities are there if you want them.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Don't think about it, make Northumbria your firm choice; I'm so glad I did.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

My confidence in my abilities has increased the most but I feel now as a person I am much more chilled out and have learnt ways to reduce pressure/stress.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Wouldn't change anything!

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

I already have recommended it to some friends back home.
