Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?
I chose to study at this university since it is close to home and I'd heard from previous students at Northumbria that staff were supportive and inspiring which made me want to come here.
What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?
I love living in near Newcastle people are friendly and there are lots of things to do, I enjoy going to watch bands with my friends.
What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?
I've lived in Newcastle most of my life therefore I'm used to the area but compared to other regions I find it a really good city.
Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?
I was nervous about my first day at Northumbria but the staff were extremely welcoming and approachable making it easier to settle in.
What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?
I've enjoyed meeting new friends and studying something which I am passionate about.
Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?
My friends and staff have helped a lot they are extremely supportive.
Who has inspired you most at Northumbria University?
Speaking to graduate guests in lectures is extremely inspirational since it gives you something to aim for at the end of your degree.
What is the best thing about your course?
The best thing about my course is studying something which I'm interested in, some lecturers make it fun and interesting stimulating you to learn more.
What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?
The most valuable I've learned is lesson to read and keep on top of it.
What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?
In the future I want to become a primary school teacher, I have learned more about child development and believe this will be extremely useful in a teaching profession.
Have you worked on any projects with businesses or been on a placement? What were your most memorable experiences?
I have been on placement in Early Years settings and I've thoroughly enjoyed them, placement helped me build confidence.
If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?
I would definitely recommend this university it gives you a chance to study something your passionate about and the staff are supportive, approachable and inspirational which makes the course more enjoyable. However university isn't all about the academic side it also allows you to enjoy the social aspect.
How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?
University has allowed me to build on my confidence and self-esteem.

Fun, inspirational, interesting!
