Personal and Professional Support

Student support is vital to success and this is achieved through personal and professional development planning which aims to increase curiosity and motivation for learning and self-development. At university, this is achieved by Personal Tutors, Practice Learning Teams, Learning Leaders (peer support) and through online networking with the wider professional community. Each student is supported though their individual learning journey through facilitation of lectures, small group seminars, practical teaching sessions and one-to-one tutorials. The programmes have been planned collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and this provides students with opportunities to learn with and from other students, through a process of inter-professional learning. We also have a growing international provision in the department with our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes which has been specifically designed for overseas students.
