Dr Mutalib Anifowose

Lecturer

Department: Newcastle Business School

Mutalib holds a Ph.D. degree in Accounting from the International Islamic University Malaysia. He obtained his Master of Science in Accounting and Finance, and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University Nigeria. He has diversified cross-functional experience in Auditing, Financial Reporting, Financial Management, and Academics for more than a decade.

Before joining Northumbria, Mutalib worked as a Technical Director (Audit and Assurance) at SALIHIN Consulting Group Malaysia. He has also lectured at Ahmadu Bello University, Nasarawa State University and Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai, Nigeria. His research areas include corporate disclosure and value relevance. He is currently serves as a visiting Senior Lecturer at Department of Accounting in Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai, Nigeria.
