Dr Angela Long

Angela is a trainee Health Psychologist specialising in applied healthcare research, using ethnographic and qualitative methods to understand real-world clinical practice.

Her research interests include how policy and evidence translate into practice. This includes understanding the everyday realities of how healthcare is actually delivered, as well as exploring what happens when interventions meet real-world settings—the adaptations, workarounds, and interactions that shape both staff and patient/service user experiences. She is particularly passionate about capturing the context-specific complexities that determine whether interventions succeed or fail when they meet the realities of frontline care.
