Lecturer

Department: Northumbria School of Design

My Interests

Design comes in many forms, and takes on exciting challenges. From my experience in industry I have a strong affiliation to Scandinavian design and Menswear, with great proficiency in industry standard computer-aided design. I am interested in the route undertaken to form an design idea, the way the principles of design combine and change throughout a project to produce an outcome unique to the designer. I am inspired by art, by society, and by vintage. I believe that a strong body of research and development produces well rounded, creative designs. I am passionate about working closely with students to help them form strong design ideas, to then help them execute them in 3D.

Areas of Expertise

An experienced Menswear Fashion Designer, with an interest in sportswear, casualwear and knitwear. I focus on portfolio curation, pattern cutting and product development.

My Industrial Experience

My industry experience has been based out in Denmark. I worked for Selected Homme for a number of years, followed by Norse Projects.
