Your Course

Find out as much as you can about the course you have applied to study. Go to the course talks where you can hear about the course itself, what sort of projects you could be working on, what you will be learning and much more. You'll have the chance to talk to the course lecturers who can answer any burning questions you have about the course. Find out about your course from a students perspective from current students who will be around on the day to help.

Check out all of the facilities available to you as a student across our Campus. The best way to see all of our great facilities is to take a tour of the campus while at an Open Day. You'll get to see some of the accommodation choices available, the facilities specific to your course, the library (did we mention our library is joint first in the UK?), the Students' Union and Sport Central.

Get an insight into life as a Northumbria University student by chatting to current students and hear about their uni experience so far. Be sure to go to the Students' Union where some might say is the heart of the campus - you'll be sure to get a real feel for student life on campus. You can also find out about what extra curricular activities you could be involved in outside of your studies including clubs and societies and sports clubs and teams.

Get to know the place where you could be living for the next 3-4 years and explore Newcastle Upon Tyne. Check out Dean Street for lots of restaurant choices, go shopping at Eldon Square, or if you have the time, travel across the river to the Metrocentre in Gateshead. Newcastle also has a range of galleries and museums most of which are free entry. Don't forget to see the wonders of our city including all 8 bridges across the river Tyne, Grey's Monument, and the iconic Angel of the North!
