Where are you from?

Leicester.

Why did you choose Northumbria University, Newcastle?

The great course and location and I wanted to leave home for university.

What do you think of Newcastle and our region and what are your favourite things to do?

The night life, the friends I have made and the fact there are some great places to go right on my doorstep.

What has surprised you most about living in Newcastle and this region? What has impressed you most?

I have been impressed by the old Grainger Market.

Did you find Northumbria University welcoming? Was it easy to fit in?

It was welcoming and everyone was there ready to help if we needed it. Everyone was in the same position to start of with so that helped.

What have you enjoyed most about coming to Northumbria University?

The friends I have made on my course and in my student accommodation.

Who has helped you most since you came to Northumbria?

My friends.

What is your favourite place on campus?

Pandon Building.

What is the best thing about your course?

The people, we all help each other so nobody gets left behind.

What are the most valuable lessons you have learnt to date?

How to use a dolly camera and that knowing small things will help in the long run.

What do you want to do in the future? What skills have you learned/improved that you think will be of most use in your future career?

I want to work for a big company that works with animation and VFX, my course is based on them so I think that helps.

If you could offer some advice to students thinking of coming to study here what would you say?

Look at the surroundings and not just the uni.

How do you feel you have changed as a person since being at Northumbria University, Newcastle (e.g. confidence)?

I've opened up more, I'm more independent and more confident.

If you had 3 words to sum up your time with us what would they be?

Laughter, fun and experience.

Would you recommend Northumbria University to a friend?

Yes.
