Isaac Newton Institute Programme Emergent phenomena in nonlinear dispersive waves

22 July to 16 August 2024

The Mathematics of Complex and Nonlinear Phenomena group is organising and hosting the upcoming satellite programme Emergent phenomena in nonlinear dispersive waves, in partnership with Northumbria and Newcastle Universities.

This 4-week programme is a follow-up to the recent 6-month programme Dispersive hydrodynamics: mathematics, simulation and experiments, with applications in nonlinear waves which took place at the Isaac Newton Institute in July-December 2022, and will aim to capitalise on the newfound collaborations and scientific questions.

The programme will feature
  • A one-week workshop on Frontiers of Dispersive Hydrodynamics taking place 29 July - 2 August 2024 at Newcastle University. Details here.
  • Women in Dispersive equations day on 12 August
Full details can be found at the Isaac Newton Institute dedicated web page.
