A two-day event on integrability and its applications
11-12 June 2025
The Mathematics of Complex and Nonlinear Phenomena (MCNP) group at Northumbria University welcomes you to the 2025 edition of the workshop Integrable Systems in Newcastle: Integrability and Applications. The event is part of a series of meetings within the London Mathematical Society Joint Research Group - Scheme 3 on the theme of Classical and Quantum Integrability, whose purpose is to bring together UK and international mathematicians working on integrability and its applications. This workshop aims at exploring trends in pure and applied integrable systems interpreted in a very broad sense (including quasi-integrable systems, as well as non-integrable systems that feature relevant connections with the theory of integrable systems), covering all methodologies and approaches (from analytical, to algebraic-geometric, to numerical). Indeed, integrability is of fundamental importance in various fields of both mathematics and physics, as it plays a pivotal role in the understading and study of a wide variety of systems and phenomena, from nonlinear waves to quantum field theory, from statistical mechanics to optics and superfluids. This meeting is free to attend and made possible thanks to the support of the London Mathematical Society and the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Electrical Engineering at Northumbria University.
