Dr Daniel Monk

School: Healthcare and Nursing Sciences

Dr Monk is an Independent Nurse Prescriber and Associate Professor in the School of Healthcare and Nursing Sciences at Northumbria University, with over 25 years of clinical experience in emergency and urgent care. Qualifying as an Independent Prescriber in 2005, he has since contributed to non-medical prescribing education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Daniel currently chairs the NHSE Northeast & Yorkshire Non-Medical Prescribing Network Forum (HEI Subgroup), providing strategic leadership across regional prescribing education networks. His research interests include non-medical prescribing education, workforce impact, and practice development and resuscitation.
