Adobe and Northumbria University are thrilled to share an exciting opportunity for students to visit Adobe's London headquarters to take part in an Adobe Experience Day!

What is Adobe Creative Campus?

Northumbria University has now become a Creative Campus joining a small number of Universities in the UK.

Every student now has Adobe Express Premium which is available anywhere at anytime onlineStudents can also access webinars and other training resources while studying at Northumbria University.

Students can...

  • Engage more deeply in their learning as they create projects like podcasts and documentaries.
  • Learn persuasive communication skills.
  • Take part in Adobe Creative Jams and other events to build career skills.
  • Graduate with visual, audio, and storytelling skills that can accelerate their time to employment.

We also offer Adobe Creative Cloud in select areas to all students - a collection of 20 + creative cloud apps that you can use during your studies at Northumbria University, you can access these:

  • 5th Floor of City Campus Library.
  • and in Digital Commons ground floor Northumberland Building.

Includes apps such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator and many more. 

Please note if you already have an Adobe Creative Cloud licence as part of your studies at Northumbria - specifically students studying in the Faculty of Arts and Design and Architecture, you now have an additional licence for Adobe Express Premium. Adobe Express is an online app or downloadable app that provides a lot of the same functions as Adobe Creative Cloud but quickly and easily.

When will I use Adobe Creative Cloud or Adobe Express Premium?

You may wish to use the Adobe apps throughout your studies. Adobe Express Premium will be the most common online app you will use. 

Adobe Express Premium can be used to work on individual and group projects, to create presentations, amazing images, graphics, publications, videos, animations, web and mobile experiences, and more.     

How do I access Adobe Creative Cloud or Adobe Express Premium?

You can access Adobe Creative Cloud apps either:

  • 5th Floor of City Campus Library.
    and in Digital Commons ground floor Northumberland Building.

You can access Adobe Express :

  • Premium :- On open access computers on campus  https://new.express.adobe.com/  select the Continue with Email option, Use your university email address, then select Company or School Account. Or try the Single Sign On (SSO)  https://express.adobe.com/a/northumbria.ac.uk . 

  • Or using your own devices via the app downloaded from your App store. Please select Have an Adobe ID or Education account? Login and use your university email account.

Northumbria University students can install Adobe Express Premium for free and use while a current student. This licence also allows you to use Adobe Stock Images from https://stock.adobe.com/uk , remember to always use your university email if asked to sign in. 

How will I use Adobe Creative Cloud or Adobe Express Premium?

The applications within Adobe can be used for many different purposes, such as:

  • Use Illustrator to bring a concept to life in an original and creative format.

  • Create a digital portfolio combining hand-drawn illustration, photography and texture.
  • Storytell your assignment through digital art.
  • Reimagine an essay-style literature review and use illustrator to turn it into an easy-to-understand infographic, full of original characters and icons.

  • Created an engaging video piece using Illustrator and After Effects to animate the key findings of project analysis.

You can also use Adobe Express Premium to quickly:

  • Combine video clips, artwork, animations, and music to make videos with drag-and-drop ease.  
  • Complete one-click tasks powered by Adobe Photo, design, video, and PDF tools. 
  • Generate extraordinary text effects and images instantly from just a description with Adobe Firefly generative AI.
  • Complete designs faster with thousands of professionally designed templates, Adobe Stock photos, videos, music, and more. 
  • Collaborate and comment on files in real time with your team.
