Dr Vivek Agarwal

Lecturer

Department: Mechanical and Construction Engineering

Dr. Vivek Agarwal is a Civil Engineer, with a specialisation in Geospatial Environmental Engineering. He is a result-oriented academic, with a proven ability to conduct research in Environment Engineering, Earth Sciences, InSAR, GIS, Groundwater, and Land subsidence. His expertise is in conducting and designing experiments, analysing and interpreting data, optimising experiments and developing industry application-specified products. He gained expertise in Civil Engineering through research, teaching and learning activities. He has the ability to deliver high-quality research-led teaching in Civil Engineering and has a strong publication profile, and can supervise individuals to plan, execute and deliver project goals.

He has coherent experience working with complex data, and he can handle large datasets, to deliver multiple objectives within the set deadline. So far, he has presented his work at various international conferences based on his broad range of technical and software skills in civil engineering, remote sensing, earth observation, data analysis, data visualisation, programming, and research. He has several funding, scholarships and awards under his name, such as Harris Spotlight 2022, Young Researcher Award 2022, Best PhD 2022 - UoN, Engineering Excellence Award, DAAD-IIT Sandwich Award, ESA-Eohops project, Graduate school research prize, and others.
