Academic Study & Professional Development

Northumbria University has a long-standing record of accomplishment in developing research rich; business focused academic programmes of study. We have existing provision from Undergraduate to professional doctorates, and can develop bespoke programmes from CPD to Masters Level. 

Many of our existing programmes involve working with external stakeholders to ensure our programmes are contemporary and relevant to the policing arena. For example, undergraduate and postgraduate students undertake placement activity with the Police as part of their academic study.

Research carried out by Northumbria University academics covers all aspects of Police activity and underpins our academic provision in disciplines such as:
