Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Peter Francis His extensive experience regionally and nationally, which includes acting as a Senior Advisor to the Home Office
- Professor Jackie Harvey is a member of the editorial Committee of the European Cross Border Crime Colloquium. Professor Harvey’s work has been discussed in the House of Commons and both the New Zealand and Canadian Parliaments. She has recently been invited to join a select academic panel consulted by the Law Commission on changes to asset recovery and AML Legislation.
- Philip Anderson was appointed to the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA). His work involved identifying emerging and future ICT risks in the area of Information Security Risk Assessment Management.
- Dr Peter Sproat acted as a consultant to the Home Office, reviewing documentation on financial investigation.
- Professor Mike Rowe, Professor Peter Francis & Sarah Soppitt carried out consultancy work with the European Police College, evaluating their work over a 5-year period.
- Professor Mike Rowe conducted an independent review for the New Zealand Police on cultural change and service delivery.
- Professor Mike Rowe was selected to be a member of the Independent Police Commission (The Stevens’ Review) which involved a substantive review of policing, with the potential to inform policy.
- Pam Davies is member of the British Society of Criminology executive committee and founding chair of the Victims Network. She has provided training on policing domestic violence for many services and support agencies.
- Dr Pauline Ramshaw has provided consultancy and mentoring to the police at both a local and an international level. In 2007, she worked with the Kigali Institute of Education, the National University of Rwanda and the Rwandan Police on a capacity-building project for degree level initial police training.
- Sarah Soppitt and Dr Pauline Ramshaw developed Foundation Degrees for Cleveland Police and West Mercia Constabulary, and provided support to a number of other forces in relation to learning and development activity.
- Associate Professor Nicola Wake and Professor Tony Ward delivered training on the Modern Slavery Act 2015 to SIOs within Durham Constabulary.
- Sarah Soppitt, Philip Anderson and Professor Mike Rowe developed and delivered a work package for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria.

Derek Johnson is undertaking an evaluation of multi-agency
partnership working and the reduction of recidivism within the South of Tyne
region, and has developed and delivered a bespoke level 7 ‘analysis of crime for
serial offending’ CPD for Police Crime Analysts.
