Computer Science and Informatics evidences a five-fold growth in staff compared to REF 2014. This substantial growth builds from the University’s 2013 strategy to significantly increase the number of staff performing quality research. Through the cultivation of strong leadership, increased University investment, ambitious recruitment, and the promotion of a pervasive research culture, UoA11 has created a sustainable, forward looking, environment for research. This approach has led to a radical transformation in the Unit’s research capability. We have a large and diverse staff base with expertise within Human Computing and Interaction Design as well as Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies.
