Designers in Residence

The Designers in Residence scheme is a post-graduate initiative designed to support Northumbria alumnae wishing to develop their own professional design practice.

Our Designers in Residence programme is a hothouse scheme created to nurture the brightest and best in new design talent.

We provide graduates with access to workspace, materials, equipment, on-site mentoring and an invaluable two year breathing space to further hone their business and design skills. In this way we can make the transition from student to successful entrepreneur as smooth as possible.

Nurturing the next generation of designers obviously comes at a cost. To maintain this support we are looking for partners to invest time, money or materials in this scheme.

In return we can promise you access to fresh, original thinking from the rising young stars of the design world, as well as branding and PR opportunities.

The possibilities are endless and sponsorship packages can be tailored to your needs.

If you want any further information or would just like to explore these opportunities further contact Rickard Whittingham at rickard.whittingham@northumbria.ac.uk
