2023/24 Postgraduate UK International Scholarships

We are delighted to offer the Northumbria UK International Scholarship, awarding Postgraduate Taught (PGT) students* joining in September 2023 or January 2024 with a £2,000 fee discount, simply for choosing to study with us.

*Terms and Conditions

To be eligible for the Northumbria UK International Scholarship, you must:

  • Be an International student with ‘Overseas’ or 'EU' fee status
  • Be currently studying one of the following qualifications within the UK, at a UK based institution:
    • A Level 6 Undergraduate Degree
  • Be a self-funded student (not in receipt of any sponsorship)
  • Be accepted and enrolled on a Full-Time Postgraduate Taught course at the Newcastle Upon Tyne campus, starting in September 2023 or January 2024 (**see exclusions below)
  • Meet all individual course requirements

**Exempt Courses

  • Any Advanced Practice or Study Abroad Masters course
  • Physiotherapy (Pre-Registration) MSc
  • Nursing Science Registered Nurse (Adult) MSc
  • Nursing Science Registered Nurse (Child) MSc
  • Nursing Science Registered Nurse (Mental Health) MSc
  • Nursing Science Registered Nurse (Learning Disabilities) MSc
  • Midwifery Studies MSc
  • Social Work MA
  • LPC, LPC Dip, Bar, Bar LLM
  • Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) / Common Professional Examination (CPE)
  • Healthcare Management MSc
  • Master of Public Health or Master of Public Health (Nutrition)
  • Construction Project Management with BIM MSc
  • Project Management MSc
  • Data Science MSc

Important Information

  • The UK International Scholarship is applied automatically as a fee discount, you do not need to make a separate application
  • Students on an Advanced Practice or Study Abroad Masters who transfer to the non-Advanced Practice or non-study Abroad route more than four weeks after the start of their course, will not be eligible for the International Scholarship
  • This award cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts or scholarships
  • The qualifying courses must be studied at in the UK – UK qualifications studied overseas do not count
  • Current NU Undergraduate students are not eligible but may be eligible for Alumni Discount - Terms and Conditions apply
  • The scholarship is awarded to Newcastle Upon Tyne campus students only
  • Sponsored students are not eligible for the UK International Scholarship
  • Students who are progressing from a partner institute where reduced fees and bespoke offers have been agreed, are not eligible for the UK International Scholarship
  • The UK International Scholarship is awarded as a fee discount and is not a cash sum
  • If you defer your place, the scholarship offer will be withdrawn
  • The University's decision is final and cannot be challenged; there is no right of appeal
