NU ALLSTARS

NU ALLSTARS is a multifaceted partnership offer for schools in the North East of England. The partnership includes a range of benefits that target the following areas – Access, Life, Learning, Supporting Transition, Attainment Raising, and Study (ALLSTARS). The scheme offers students an extensive package of activities and guidance, designed to build knowledge, skills, and opportunities and to support their progression into higher education, with a focus on Northumbria University.

The dedicated ALLSTARS team is committed to working with ALLSTARS partner schools/colleges to facilitate the offer of benefits outlined in our brochure below, and equally to fulfill bespoke outreach requests. Each partner school/college has access to a number of benefits including outreach sessions delivered by Northumbria staff, priority access to our faculty taster days on-campus, and financial awards including school/college sponsorship and a scholarship for one student from each partner institution.

‘The NU ALL STARS Scholarship has been a fantastic opportunity for me. At the welcome event, I had the chance to network with the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Education and meet prominent members of the SABB Team who shared their stories and tips with me. Additionally, it allowed me to automatically qualify for an interview and train to become a student outreach representative, allowing me to inform prospective students about the university, which provides flexible work alongside my studies.’

– Jack Brent, LLB Law

‘The NU Allstars programme has provided me with a welcoming sense of recognition, helping me to settle quickly into university life. All academic praise received from Northumbria, as well as my previous place of education, has been fulfilling and encouraging to hear. Support has also been offered by the recruitment/ progression teams to ensure I advance with similar success. The initiation event was held formally, which gave a greater sense of importance and accomplishment. Further to this, the scholarship has offered useful monetary benefits which have assisted my studies and general life. I am very grateful to have been nominated for this programme.’
