The UKRI AI Centre for Doctoral Training in Citizen-Centred Artificial Intelligence has nine different Research Themes. We encourage student applicants from all disciplines with no prior AI knowledge required, and also encourage applications across our Research Themes and ones that are not bound to these themes. This means our students will be highly skilled across multiple disciplines including AI and Data Science, Participatory and Co-Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Ethics and Legal Frameworks, Business and Law, Politics and Social Science.

We are running workshop sessions to help you prepare your PhD application.

Pre-application workshops will be held during February and March. Two workshops will be held online [08/03/24 and 15/03/24] and two more will be held in person [29/02/24 and 07/03/24], one workshop in Newcastle upon Tyne, and the other one in London.
