Research Themes and Scholarly Interests

Dr Yunhong Jiang is a Vice-Chancellor’s Fellow in the Hub for Biotechnology in the Built Environment (HBBE) at Northumbria University.

His research interests cover a wide range including, Synthesis and Characterisation of Nanomaterials; Application of Nanotechnology in Built Environment, Food Packages, and Healthcare; Advanced Functional Bio-nanomaterials; Hygrothermal Performance of Composite Building Materials; Interactions between Bacterial Cell and Nanomaterials. His collaborative projects have extensively involved between biologists, chemists, social scientists and engineers.

He is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Microbiology Society and a Certified Passive House Designer.
