FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The January intake is designed to make our most popular Postgraduate courses more accessible, giving you flexibility to choose a start date and duration that suits you - this means that not all of our courses are available as a January starty. If you can't find a Postgraduate course you're interested in for January, we recommend exploring our Postgraduate Study page for a full list of courses available with a September start.
Please note: Some courses - such as professional health courses like Midwifery, Physiotherapy (Pre-Registration) and Nursing Science - are only available as a January start.
To apply, find your chosen course using the search tool on this page and click the 'Apply Now' button on thew course page to begin your application.
For a full step-by-step guide to the application process, please refer to the relevant guide below:
Please note: Application deadlines will depend on the course you are applying for, which can be checked on our Application Deadlines and Key Dates page.
Generally, the only difference between our January and September courses is the length of time you have to complete your degree. Our full-time January start courses delivered at the Newcastle Campus are offered on 12 - 24 month bases, with some courses offering multiple delivery lengths.
If you're interested in a course that is offered as both a January or September start, you'll benefit from the same course content, real-world learning experiences, and academic support, irrespective of the intake. The main benefit to studying in January is generally having more time to complete your degree.
