Degree Apprenticeships - Information for UG Students

Our Higher and Degree Apprenticeships combine both university study and workplace learning. They are specifically designed for those in employment wishing to gain a university degree which integrates cutting edge research and practical skills.

Northumbria was one of the first UK universities to offer government-supported degree apprenticeships. These specialist courses are co-designed with employers to ensure they are providing the skills that industry are looking for. Students enrolled on degree apprenticeships are employed and divide their time between the workplace and flexible university study. While learning, they are also earning and gaining real experience of the job and will graduate with a full bachelors or master's level degree.

Admission onto any of our higher or degree apprenticeships can only take place if you are employed and your employer has signed an agreement with the University.  If an agreement needs to be established please ask your employer to contact our Business and Enterprise team to set up an agreement. An offer to join the course can only be made once the agreement is in place.
