Dr Mojtaba Mansour Abadi

Lecturer

Department: Mathematics, Physics and Electrical Engineering

I received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Azad University, Fasa, Iran, in 2005, and the M.Sc. degree in electromagnetic fields and waves from the K.N. Toosi University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2008 and in 2016 received my Ph.D degree in optical communication from OCRG, Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. My research subject was hybrid free-space optical (FSO)/radio frequency (RF) communication systems in particular hybrid antennas. I also developed differential signalling technique for mitigation channel effects in FSO links. . From 2017 to 2018, I was as a research assistant in School of engineering, University of Glasgow, Glasgow, Scotland. From July 2018 till May 2020, I worked at OCRG, Northumbria University researching on high-speed ground to train FSO link.

I have joined MPEE as a lecturer From May 2020.

I am teaching modules with topics of design and programming of embedded systems; and simulation, verification and synthesis of digital systems using hardware description language (HDL).
